SPRING!!! 1st Bloom Report from Willowwood

The weather this weekend and next week looks like we might have a bit of Spring. Good time to take a little stroll and breathe.

Here is the bloom report as of yesterday!

The daffodils by the parking lot are starting to show color.

In the rockery the Scilla siberica (Scilla) , Chionodoxa lucilea (Glory of the Snow), Hellebores and Leucojum vernum ‘Spring Snowflake’ are in bloom.

In Pans’ garden there is a Viburnum farreri located in the front left corner that is ready to bloom, it’s very fragrant!

The Hammamelis (Witch Hazels) across from the Tubbs’ house and in the Winter Garden are also very fragrant right now.

There is a riot of yellow Winter Aconite in bloom in the Cottage garden .

There are crocus in bloom along the left side of the drive as you enter , further down by the bend in the road on both sides, by the parking lot and up the right side of the private drive.

There are pansies in bloom in the propagation house.

The cherries have still not broken bud yet. Will let you know as soon as they begin!
